“ Joseph Hinds is a makeup artist for film, television and print. Since the beginning of his career in 2012, he has had the opportunity to contribute his talents to some of the largest shows on network television and theatrical releases while working on editorial, fine art and commercial photography projects.
Joseph’s expertise ranges from beauty to prosthetics, allowing him to understand the specific needs for a wide range of projects while cohesively bridging the two worlds together. He has recently stepped into the role of Beauty Editor for Ark Magazine where he is excited to create content for the magazine focusing on clean beauty while morphing the traditional concepts of product features and tutorials.
In 2022 he launched Cindy Cinema to produce and direct independent films with a hyperfocus on queer storytelling. His directorial debut PHANTASM - A Magic Show in Three Acts premiered on ARK Magazine ahead of the issue003 release. “

Designed and applied make-up looks for the cirque-style show The Underworld (2012/13) and Toxicity (2014/15). Worked alongside lead choreographer to develop the desired make-up. Responsible for uniform make-up application between performers for the duration of the production. (Seasonal Position)

Halloween Haunt October 2012 - 2016
Created and applied individual make-up looks for Canada’s Wonderland annual Halloween Haunt event. Responsible for prosthetic application, airbrushing and character make-ups of atmosphere and maze characters while following a set schedule with an application time of 8 minutes per actor.
