This work explores a convergence of early Americana’s fun house mirrors and the stark lines of brutalist architecture, assembled from steel and brass.
I hoped to create a piece that challenges the conventional notion of self-reflection by allowing the viewer to manipulate the mirror surface through six points of articulation, ultimately disrupting a true image. Through this distortion, the viewer is compelled to look within themselves, instead of navigating the shifting contours of their reflection to discover personal truth.
