Hollow Current examines the tension between solidity and impermanence, form and dissolution. A monolithic metal structure rises from black earth, interrupted by a vertical channel of soft reflective light. Within this recess, mist flows downward along a reflective mylar surface, its movement slow and ungraspable, accompanied by the faint sound of water tracing its descent.

The work considers free fall as an act of release rather than loss, evoking the body’s shifting rhythms - of breath, pulse, thought - unraveling and reforming in a state of suspended transition. The interplay between brutalist mass and ephemeral mist reflects identity’s fluidity, where presence is defined by movement and absence alike.

By positioning the body in relation to this shifting threshold, the work prompts a confrontation with one’s own impermanence. Reflection becomes a transient encounter, appearing only to dissolve.
